CONFERENCE INFORMATION

14th Annual High Plains Conference
  August 12-13, 2010
Dodge City, Kansas


The 14th Annual High Plains Conference (14HPC) will be held in Dodge City, Kansas on August 12-13, 2010.  The conference is sponsored by a joint session of the High Plains Chapter of the American Meteorological Society and the High Plains Chapter of the National Weather Association.  The National Weather Service Office in Dodge City, KS is organizing this year's event.

The general theme of the conference centers on weather that affects the central and high plains regions of the U.S.   The broad range of topics includes severe convective and winter weather, climate, educational programs, social impacts, new technology, etc.

Conference Location

The 14th Annual High Plains Conference will be held at the Student Union Building on the campus of Dodge City Community College.  Detailed maps of Dodge City and Dodge City Community College are available.

Call For Papers

The abstract submission deadline has passed.

Registration

Registration for this year’s conference is $60.00.  Student registration (undergraduate and graduate) is $30.00.  The cost of the Thursday evening banquet is an extra $15.00 per person.  Online registration is due by August 9.

Sessions

The conference will run from approximately 8 am - 5 pm on Thursday, August 12 and 8 am - Noon on Friday, August 13. There will also be a banquet dinner/keynote presentation on Thursday evening,  August 12.
